Community, Trust and Access

“AMIGA means ‘friend’ in Portuguese – a word that reflects trust, connection, and belonging.”

AMIGA is a community-based nonprofit organization that supports immigrant women and their families through community integration, service navigation, education, and capacity-building.

Our work recognizes that trust, proximity, and family-centered engagement are often necessary first steps for women to safely access community and institutional resources.

WE SERVE Immigrant women and their families in and around surrounding communities, including those experiencing social isolation, institutional barriers, fear of accessing services, or other vulnerabilities.
